1. Introduction
Zensoul is a self-awareness and reflection tool. This policy explains what data we collect, what remains local on your device, what is sent when AI features are used, and how to contact us for privacy or support requests.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Data you provide
- Profile inputs: Name/nickname, birth date, birth time, and birth location used to generate profile/chart content.
- Question/input text: Text entered in Ask and related AI features.
- Sign-in identifiers: Basic account information from Apple/Google/Email sign-in (if used).
2.2 Data stored locally on your device
By default, profile records and raw birth details are stored locally on your device, including saved profiles, local AI caches, and current-profile selections.
Local data is not automatically synced to other devices.
2.3 Data sent when AI features are used
When you actively use AI features, we send only required request data, such as derived chart/profile structure, gender, and necessary age context.
In AI model prompts, we do not include your name, precise birth date/time, birth location, record ID, or app user ID.
2.4 Analytics and diagnostics
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization for aggregated product metrics (for example page/screen usage and feature interactions).
We do not use analytics to build advertising profiles from raw birth details or full AI question content.
3. Third-Party Services
- Firebase: Authentication and, when enabled, crash diagnostics.
- RevenueCat: Purchase entitlement and restore-status handling.
- Third-party AI providers: AI response generation (for example Google Gemini and compatible providers).
We use these providers only to deliver app functions. We do not sell personal data.
4. How We Use Data
We use data to run app features, generate requested AI output, enforce usage and membership rules, improve reliability, and provide support.
5. Payments and Membership Data
Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive full card numbers. RevenueCat is used for entitlement validation and restore status.
6. Safety Screening
If text you enter appears to indicate severe self-harm risk, the app may show a fixed safety-oriented message and does not send that text to third-party AI models for chart/profile interpretation. This is not emergency monitoring and does not replace professional services.
7. Account, Deletion, and Support Requests
Email support@zensoul.app for account deletion, data requests, and membership support.
Recommended subject: Account and data request.
- Send from your sign-in email (or include enough details for account lookup).
- Specify whether you need account deletion, data deletion, or support help.
- Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days).
Some records may be retained when legally required, for security, fraud prevention, or audit obligations.
8. Data Retention Summary
Local: Remove local data by in-app clear options, device storage clear, or uninstalling the app.
Server-side: Operational records may be retained for limited periods for reliability and abuse prevention.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures (e.g. HTTPS, secure APIs) to protect data in transit. You are responsible for your device and account credential security.
10. Children
Zensoul is not intended for users under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The updated version will include a revised "Last updated" date.
